1.1 This Privacy Policy explains how Sarang Productions ("Sarang Productions", "we", "us" or "our") handles information in connection with the Landlord Pro application ("Landlord Pro" or "the application").
1.2 Landlord Pro is designed around a local-first approach. Your financial and property records are primarily maintained on your device rather than in a server-side financial database operated by Sarang Productions.
1.3 Sarang Productions may process limited account, authentication, technical and support information where necessary to provide, secure and maintain the application.
2.1 When you choose to make a Making Tax Digital submission, the relevant information is prepared by the application on your device and transmitted to HMRC through the applicable HMRC API.
2.2 The financial information required for the submission is transmitted from your device to HMRC. Sarang Productions does not maintain a server-side copy of the financial submission as part of this transmission.
2.3 HMRC may return submission responses, acknowledgements, calculation information or other API responses to the application. Information received from HMRC may be retained locally by the application where necessary to provide submission history, records or related functionality.
2.4 HMRC is responsible for the information it receives and processes through its own systems. Users should refer to HMRC's own privacy and data protection information for details of HMRC's processing.
3.1 Account and Authentication Information: We may process information required to create, authenticate and maintain your application account.
3.2 Contact Information: If you contact us for support, we may process the email address and information you provide so that we can respond to your request.
3.3 Technical Information: We may process limited technical information necessary to diagnose errors, maintain application stability, prevent abuse and improve reliability.
3.4 HMRC API Information: When you connect Landlord Pro to HMRC, the application may process authentication tokens, taxpayer identifiers, API responses and other information required to establish and maintain the HMRC connection.
3.5 Financial and Property Records: Your rental income, expenses, property information, tax records and related financial information are stored locally within the application on your device.
4.1 Your financial and property records are stored locally on your device. Sarang Productions does not maintain a server-side database containing your rental income, expenses, property records, tax calculations or other financial records entered into the application.
4.2 You can add, edit or delete your financial and property records within the application. These changes are maintained within the local data stored on your device.
4.3 Because financial records are maintained locally, Sarang Productions does not provide a server-side backup or recovery service for financial records that exist only on your device.
4.4 If the application is removed from your device, local financial records may also become unavailable depending on the device operating system and any backup facilities available to you. Users are responsible for maintaining appropriate copies or exports of records they are legally required to retain.
4.5 Sarang Productions does not use your financial or property records for advertising, predictive analytics or AI-based risk profiling.
Where applicable under UK data protection law, you may have rights concerning personal information processed by Sarang Productions. These may include:
• The right to access your personal information
• The right to request correction of inaccurate information
• The right to request erasure where applicable
• The right to restrict processing where applicable
• The right to object to certain processing
• The right to data portability where applicable
Deleting Your Application Account
To delete your application account and associated account information, navigate within the application to: Settings > Account Management > Delete My Account .
This action removes account information and preferences maintained by the application's authentication infrastructure. Financial and property records stored locally on your device are separate from this account system and are not stored as part of your online account.
6.1 Your financial and property records remain on your device except where information is transmitted to HMRC when you initiate an HMRC submission.
6.2 Account, authentication, technical or support information may be processed by third-party service providers used to operate the application.
6.3 Where personal information is transferred outside the United Kingdom, appropriate safeguards will be used where required by applicable UK data protection law.
7.1 Because financial and property records are stored locally, Sarang Productions does not determine a server-side retention period for those records.
7.2 Users are responsible for retaining financial and tax records for the period required by applicable UK tax law. Deleting the Landlord Pro application does not remove any statutory record-keeping obligations that may apply to the user.
7.3 Users should regularly export or otherwise retain copies of important records where necessary to meet their own legal or accounting obligations.
8.1 Landlord Pro is designed using a privacy-first, local-data approach intended to minimise the amount of financial information that needs to be processed by Sarang Productions.
8.2 Access to account and authentication information is protected using the security controls provided by the services used to operate the application.
8.3 HMRC API communications use the security mechanisms required by the HMRC API, including authenticated and encrypted communications.
8.4 We do not intentionally engage in device fingerprinting for advertising or user profiling.
Transparency Note: Landlord Pro has been designed with privacy in mind. Financial and property records are intended to remain under the user's control on their device rather than being maintained in a central financial database operated by Sarang Productions.
9.1 Landlord Pro may use third-party infrastructure for functions such as authentication, account management, application support or other technical services.
9.2 Such providers may process the limited information necessary to provide those services. They are not used by Sarang Productions to maintain a central database of the user's financial and property records.
9.3 HMRC processing is separate from Sarang Productions' own processing activities and is governed by HMRC's applicable policies and legal obligations.
10.1 We may update this Privacy & Data Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the application, technology, services or applicable legal requirements.
10.2 The latest version published on this page will represent the current version of this policy.
