1.1 By accessing or using Landlord Pro (the "Application"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with these terms, you should not use the Application.
1.2 Landlord Pro is software designed to help landlords maintain digital financial and property records and, where supported and authorised by the user, interact with HMRC through applicable Making Tax Digital (MTD) APIs.
1.3 These Terms govern your use of the Application, its local record-keeping functionality, account functionality and HMRC connectivity features made available through the Application.
Important Notice: Software Only
2.1 Sarang Productions provides software and is not a firm of accountants, tax advisers or other professional financial advisers. Landlord Pro does not provide personalised tax, accounting or legal advice.
2.2 Calculations, estimates, summaries, reminders and other information generated by the Application are provided for general informational and record-keeping purposes. They should not be treated as professional tax advice.
2.3 Tax rules, thresholds and HMRC requirements may change. You are responsible for checking that your records and tax information are accurate and appropriate for your circumstances before making a submission.
3.1 Landlord Pro uses a local-first approach for financial and property records. Information entered into the Application is stored locally on your device unless specifically transmitted to another service, such as HMRC, as part of a feature you choose to use.
3.2 You are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups or exports of important records stored locally on your device. Sarang Productions does not provide a server-side recovery service for financial records that exist only on your device.
3.3 You are responsible for the accuracy, completeness and legality of information that you enter into the Application and submit to HMRC.
4.1 Where HMRC connectivity is available, the Application may allow you to authenticate with HMRC and submit information using applicable HMRC APIs.
4.2 You remain responsible for reviewing the information presented by the Application before authorising a submission to HMRC.
4.3 A successful connection or transmission through an HMRC API does not constitute tax advice, confirmation that your underlying records are correct, or confirmation that you have satisfied every tax obligation that may apply to you.
4.4 HMRC systems and APIs are operated by HMRC and may occasionally be unavailable, changed, restricted or withdrawn. Sarang Productions does not control the availability or operation of HMRC systems.
5.1 You must use the Application lawfully and only for legitimate purposes.
5.2 You are responsible for keeping your device, authentication credentials and access to the Application secure.
5.3 You must not knowingly provide false, fraudulent or misleading information through the Application or use the Application to submit information on behalf of another person without appropriate authority.
5.4 You are responsible for reviewing important financial information before submitting it to HMRC.
6.1 We aim to keep Landlord Pro available and functional, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
6.2 We may update, modify, suspend or discontinue individual features where reasonably necessary, including features that depend on third-party services, operating systems or HMRC APIs.
6.3 Where reasonably practicable, we will provide notice of significant planned changes to the Application or its services.
7.1 Subject to your rights under applicable law, the Application, its software, interface, branding, documentation and original content are owned by or licensed to Sarang Productions.
7.2 You may use the Application for its intended personal or business purposes. You must not copy, redistribute, sell, modify, reverse engineer or otherwise exploit the Application except where permitted by applicable law.
8.1 To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Sarang Productions will not be responsible for losses arising from information that you enter incorrectly, failure to maintain your own backups, loss of access to your device, third-party service interruptions, HMRC system availability, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
8.2 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any statutory consumer rights that cannot be excluded.
8.3 Where Landlord Pro is provided without charge, there is no software licence fee against which a liability limitation can be calculated.
9.1 You may stop using the Application at any time. Where account functionality is provided, you may also request deletion of your account in accordance with our Privacy & Data Policy.
9.2 We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect the Application, its users, third-party services or legal and regulatory requirements.
9.3 Termination of an account does not remove any legal, tax or record-keeping obligations that may apply to you.
10.1 Landlord Pro may depend on third-party services, including authentication infrastructure, mobile operating systems and HMRC APIs.
10.2 Third-party services are operated independently of Sarang Productions and may have their own terms, privacy policies and availability requirements.
11.1 Your use of Landlord Pro is also governed by our Privacy & Data Policy, which explains how personal information and financial data are handled.
12.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory rights or protections that apply to you under applicable law.
12.2 Any disputes will be dealt with by the courts having appropriate jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that may apply.
